Two young men are in custody after a shooting that killed a 17-year-old and left another man in critical condition. Montgomery County investigators believe it’s connected to another deadly shooting last month.

The suspects got into an altercation with a group of teens at a 7-Eleven Aug. 19, prosecutors said. Not long after, officers found 17-year-old Jaril Verde Murillo with a gunshot wound about a block away. He did not survive.
