HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah (ABC4) — Hill Air Force Base Fighter Wings will be conducting night flying training operations for the next two weeks.

According to Hill Air Force Base (AFB), the active duty 388th and Reserve 419 Fighter Wings at Hill AFB will be conducting the nightly operations with the F-35A Lightning II until September 19. The training is necessary so that pilots and maintainers can ensure that they do not lose their combat readiness and flying capabilities.

The night flying should be finished by 12 a.m. most nights, but Hill AFB warned that the exact days and times could vary based on things like weather, airspace availability, etc. They also noted that they limit night flying to what is required to keep the Fighter Wings' skills ready for deployment.
