SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Campus parking at the University of Utah has been a long-time frustration for students, but some say now, it has gotten even worse.
This comes after a recent change to the university’s class scheduling system. The school said the uneven distribution of class times is making parking even harder to manage, so starting the spring semester of 2026, 50% of all classes will be scheduled outside of the traditional 9 am to 2pm hours.
“I try to avoid parking on campus,” Sebastian Weisbarth, a student at University of Utah said.
Another student, Walker Netland, said, “I got like ten tickets last year."
