The city of Glendale ranked high nationally in a study of economic growth and other municipal metrics — though not quite as high as some Valley suburbs.

A study commissioned by CoworkingCafe highlighted the U.S. cities that experienced the most economic growth in recent years, split into categories of population size: large, mid-sized, and small, according to a news release.

Glendale ranked ninth overall among mid-sized cities. With a 1% growth in employment rate, Glendale takes the third spot for this metric. The 1% drop in unemployment rate places it second among mid-sized cities.

Glendale's 30% growth in median earnings brought the median at $40,071 while placing the city in the ninth spot for this growth.
