TWIN FALLS — Want to see a piece of the World Trade Center? Here’s your chance.

This year’s version of the Magic Valley 9/11 Memorial is expected to include a flyover with Black Hawk helicopters that didn’t occur last year due to inclement weather.

The group will also unveil a children’s book authored by co-founder Larae Saufley, and the group hopes to put a copy in the hands of all Magic Valley kids from kindergarten through third grade.

Saufley and Angela Johnson kicked off the initial memorial in 2020 when they purchased a hundred small flags for friends and other community members to wave while standing on the Perrine Bridge.

Now it is a major community event, with one of the highlights over the past several years being the unfurling of a giant flag over the Snake River Canyon next
