Thursday marks the 24th year since the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Municipalities in Dutchess County are holding events to remember and honor those who lost their lives that day.

Dutchess County will also host its 24th annual Sept. 11 memorial service at 8:30 a.m. on the steps of the Dutchess County Family Court building, located at 50 Market St. in Poughkeepsie.

Dutchess County Family Court Judge Jeffrey Martin will share remarks during the service, in addition to a ceremonial lowering of the flag and a moment of silence. All are welcome to attend.
