A man was found dead at a Cambridgeshire property. Cambridgeshire Police were called to a fire along Wootton Avenue in Fletton, Peterborough , just after 3.30am on Sunday (September 7).

A man, who is yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Cambridgeshire Police is treating the death as unexplained.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. A police spokesperson said: “Police were called by the fire service at about 3.35am on Sunday (September 7) with reports of a fire in Wootton Avenue, Fletton, Peterborough.

“A man, who is yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is currently being treated as unexplained. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire and establish the circumstances of what took place.
