A Hickory man is facing sexual exploitation charges in Alexander County.

Jeremy Thomas Nelson, 37, of Hickory, is charged with one count each of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, Alexander County Sheriff Chad Pennell said in a news release.

Nelson was arrested on Saturday. Nelson is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center on a $250,000 secured bond, Pennell said.

No additional details were provided about the case. The investigation is ongoing, Pennell said.
