All is well with Auburn’s offense through two games.
Weeks 1 and 2 produced 910 yards, 10 touchdowns and most importantly, two double-digit wins. The production was there, but the next step is balancing it between the run and the pass.
The win over Ball State was a start, but it’s something head coach Hugh Freeze and the players want to continue.
“We’ll need to be balanced against South Alabama, as they do a lot of things,” Freeze told reporters on Monday. “We’ll need to keep their offense on the sidelines, for sure, and limit their number of opportunities.”
Auburn’s season-opening win over Baylor calmed a lot of concerns, but the offensive success came primarily on the ground. With 307 rushing yards and just 108 passing yards, there was relief, but questions remained.
