A shooting in Wood Village on Monday night left a man critically injured, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said.
Detectives believe the shooting happened during a robbery in the 23700 block of Northeast Halsey Street in the small, east Multnomah County city. Police and paramedics arrived at the scene at about 10:15 p.m. They found a man with a gunshot wound, and he was taken to a nearby hospital.
The identity of the victim and his condition have not been released.
Police began a search for suspects, and neighborhood residents were notified to stay inside their homes. One suspect was detained, the sheriff’s office said. Authorities did not say if they’re looking for anyone else.
