WOOD VILLAGE, Ore. — A 25-year-old was arrested in connection to an attempted robbery and shooting that left a convenience store employee hospitalized Monday night in Wood Village.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday afternoon that Inteus Michael Brewington faces charges of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree robbery with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.

The shooting occurred around 10:15 p.m. in the area of Northeast Halsey Street and 238th Drive in Wood Village, a small town located between Fairview and Troutdale, south of Gresham.

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office deputies and Gresham police officers immediately began searching the area, and a reverse 911 call went out to neighbors alerting them to the incidents, asking them to stay inside.
