National warehouse shopping chain Costco is opening a new location in Fruitport Township, Michigan, next month, according to the retailer's website .

Fruitport Township is located on the west side of the state about 10 miles southeast of Muskegon. The warehouse retail chain also is set to open three additional locations in October, according to its website, in Ontario, Canada, and Pennsylvania and South Carolina.

Earlier this year, Costco opened a Michigan location in Genesee County . The company aims to open 25-30 new locations per year, half in the U.S. and the other half internationally.
