Police investigating the death of Lanarkshire man Scott Boyd have arrested a 35-year-old man.

Mr Boyd, 30, was found dead within a property in Kirkmuirhill, after police were called to reports of two men found injured on Braeside Crescent in the early hours on Wednesday, August 27.

Mr Boyd was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man, aged 35, was taken to Wishaw Hospital for treatment and has since been released.

Detectives launched a murder investigation following a post mortem examination of Mr Boyd’s body. Police said enquiries remain ongoing.
