Stellantis is recalling 91,787 of its 2022 to 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicles. The recall is necessary due to a software error within the hybrid control processor, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The software error can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. So far, the company says it is unaware of any injuries or crashes caused by the issue. However, the company has received numerous reports and service records related to the issue.
A fix for the error is currently being developed and owner notification records are expected to be mailed on Oct.23, 2025. Stellantis customer service can be reached at 1-800-853-1403. The recall identification number is 73C.
