SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A Sioux City student went to the hospital after a waterline broke in a school bus.

The Director of Communications for Sioux City public schools, Leslie Heying, says on Monday, Sept. 8, a waterline on a bus burst, spraying water.

According to Heying, one student had injuries to their foot. No other injuries were reported.

When the school bus approached its next stop, an ER doctor happened to be there waiting for their child. Heying says the doctor advised the student to go to the hospital, which their parents took them to.

The other students were moved to a different bus after this incident.
