This week marks 24 years since the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. As the anniversary approaches, communities across Brooklyn will gather to honor the lives lost and reflect on the tragedy that forever changed the city.
Memorials and vigils will be held throughout the borough, giving residents a chance to pay tribute and stand together in remembrance.

Candlelight ceremony at the Brooklyn 9/11 Wall of Remembrance
The Brooklyn 9/11 Wall of Remembrance will host its “A Light and a Prayer” candlelight ceremony on Sept. 10 at the western wall of Maimonides Park in Coney Island. The event will honor those listed on the Wall, as well as responders who have died from 9/11-related illnesses. Close
