ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Although there are still three months left in the year, New York State has already surpassed $1.06 billion in legal cannabis retail sales for 2025. The New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) stated that sales show rapid growth in the state's regulated market at the board's meeting on Tuesday.

At the meeting, board members approved 46 adult-use licenses, bringing the state to 1,904 licenses issued. Also approved at the meeting was a Cannabis Education Advisory Panel (CEAP), where a statewide group leads youth-focused cannabis education.
