PORTSMOUTH, N.H. —
The latest Nation's Report Card shows a decline among American children in science, reading and math compared to pre-pandemic testing.
New Hampshire results were not separated out, but a January assessment showed that Granite State students were testing above average.
The National Assessment Governing Board, which is behind the Nation's Report Card, said the results are concerning for the next generation.
"I think that it's impossible to look at these results and be anything other than alarmed and to feel anything other than urgency in a need to respond," said Patrick Kelly of the National Assessment Governing Board.
