BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - A Georgia man has been arrested following the armed robbery of a Bowling Green restaurant.

The robbery happened Aug. 25 at the Puerto Vallarta Mexican Restaurant on River Place Avenue.

Bowling Green Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Bowling Green Field Office of the Louisville Field Division, worked with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia to find the suspect, Jonathan Emmett.

Police found Emmett with the suspected firearm used in the robbery.

He’s currently in custody in Georgia but is pending extradition to Kentucky. Once extradited, he will be charged with first degree robbery and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
