SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Tuesday, Sept. 9, the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors approved a contract to demolish the old Law Enforcement Center located on 7th street downtown Sioux City.

The cost of demolition, including contracts is estimated to be roughly one million dollars coming from the county budget.

Board Chairperson Dan Bittinger says the demolition is in line with the contract the county signed, saying once the building is no longer being used, it will need to be demolished and become property of Sioux City.

The tentative schedule is two to three months to come up with the demolition plans.

It is estimated it will take three to four months to demolish the old LEC building.
