MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Monongalia County Fair is in full swing this week, filling the fairgrounds with the sights, sounds and flavors of summer at Mylan Park.

Fairgoers are welcomed by the glow of carnival rides along the midway and the unmistakable aroma of funnel cakes and fair foods drifting through the air.

"I have actually grown up with a family that has a lot of farm animals, so it’s great, and it’s an honor to see all the animals and everything that goes on throughout the week, all of the work the 4H kids put into it,” 2025 Monongalia County Fair Queen Dakota Nichols said.
