Fears are growing for “reprisal attacks” in the wake of the heinous assassination of conservative Christian commentator Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed by an unknown shooter at Utah Valley University.

The shooter is still at large, and a major manhunt is underway to catch them.

It was just before 12.30pm on Wednesday at the Utah college campus when a single shot rang out across the campus, with a bullet fatally striking Kirk in the neck.

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was then rushed to hospital by a private vehicle.

Within two hours, his death was confirmed by United States President Donald Trump.
