Geelong coach Chris Scott has apologised to an AFL staff member for an outburst following last Friday night’s win over Brisbane.
It was reported on Thursday evening that Scott brought the media official to tears during an exchange that took place after his post-match media conference.
The two-time premiership winning coach was reportedly unhappy with the presence of an accredited media figure during the conference.
Scott called the female staff member on Wednesday to personally apologise for his actions.
“The club acknowledges an interaction that took place post-game last Friday night,” a Geelong spokesperson said.
“The club confirms Chris called the AFL staff member to personally apologise for the exchange and the apology was accepted.”
He will not be sanctioned for the incident.
