GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said an earthquake was reported in Transylvania County on Thursday afternoon.

Officials said the 2.1-magnitude quake hit at 1:40 p.m. with a depth of zero.

According to the USGS, the earthquake was 2.8 miles west southwest of Rosman, NC, 25.7 miles northwest Easley, SC and 26.4 miles west southwest of Hendersonville, NC.
