GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Town of Greeneville announced Thursday that restoration efforts on the town hall building are ongoing.

In July 2024, a $59,890 restoration bid from J. Ross Painting was approved, and The Verdin Company repaired the clocks for an additional $4,800. By January 2025, the cupola was fully restored, the Town of Greeneville said in a news release.

The restoration project then shifted to the portico, columns and windows.

The council selected the lowest bid of $95,960 from Skyline Restoration & Maintenance, LLC on March 18, and work began in August, according to the town.

So far, restoration efforts have included repairing and repainting four full columns and two partial columns, the portico and ceiling, the front door and frame, attic vents and windows.
