“When you buy art or home accents that make your heart sing, they do not have to match the rest of your house,” says Mary Liz Curtin, co-owner of Leon & Lulu in Clawson. “You can have a common thread like warm colors or cool colors. The way you hang it or mass it matters. If you have disparate pieces, they should have the same edges or field around them. You might want to try it on the floor first.”
