BOSTON (SHNS) - The Senate on Thursday advanced bills to create legal protections for people who administer fentanyl test strips, expand an abuse registry to protect day habilitation participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and shift insurance responsibility for rental cars in an effort to lower costs.
The Senate Ways and Means Committee released the three bills Thursday morning as the chamber that's been advancing mostly local bills for six weeks begins weighing more significant matters after a long summer break.
While formal session plans have not been announced, Senate Ways and Means spokesman Sean Fitzgerald said the Senate will further consider the bills sometime next week.
