PONTIAC, Mich. — A Detroit-area teen accused of selling marijuana to an elementary school student is now facing charges.

19-year-old Kristopher Halterman, of Clarkston, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, which is punishable by up to four years in prison.

The investigation started when a parent contacted police to report that their 12-year-old had been sold THC and nicotine vape products near his elementary school.

Sheriff's deputies then identified Halterman as a suspect. Investigators searched Halterman's home in his grandparents' basement and found THC and nicotine vapes, marijuana and several thousand dollars in cash.
