MONTCLAIR, N.J. (PIX11) -- The math isn’t adding up in the Montclair School District, which is working to close an $18 million budget gap.

Superintendent Ruth B. Turner announced the $18 million figure on the latest episode of ‘The Montclair Pod.’

Turner was named superintendent in July and had already revealed an $11 million deficit earlier this summer.

“I’m going to be very honest with you, I don’t know where the disconnection is,” said Turner on ‘The Montclair Pod.’

Podcast co-hosts and Montclair parents Michael Schreiber and Farnoosh Torabi said Turner volunteered the information during her interview.
