PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. — The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) says there have been reports of a caller falsely identifying themselves as law enforcement and requesting money.
Reports say the caller identifies themselves as a captain for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office and states that the person they called missed jury duty or has a warrant for their arrest. The caller then requests the money to pay off the warrant.
PCSO says no law enforcement agency is going to call you and tell you that you have a warrant.
"Please disregard this caller, block the number, and DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY to this CLOWN(S)," said PCSO in a Facebook post.
The Sheriff's Office says if you receive any phone calls, emails, or text messages that ask for money because of a warrant, call them at 573-774-6196.
