COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. ( WECT /Gray News) – A mom in North Carolina is facing charges after four young girls died in a house fire, according to arrest warrants.

Reagan Noelle Powers has been charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter and negligent child abuse with serious bodily injury.

According to the Columbus County Fire Marshall, four children, ages 2, 4, 6, and 7, were killed in a house fire on North Colony Road near Chadbourn on Aug. 30.

The warrants state that Powers left the children in the care of an 11-year-old.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined, but investigators said they do not believe it was set intentionally.

Powers was held under a $400,000 bond and bonded out. Her next court appearance is Thursday.
