NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — Students at Central Connecticut State University, or CCSU, in New Britain expressed shock and sadness Thursday following news that Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed during an event Wednesday at Utah Valley University.
Kirk, 31, died after being shot near the neck while speaking at an outdoor "Prove Me Wrong" debate on the Utah campus.
