Anchorage firefighters gathered at the Body Renew off of Old Seward for the 14th annual 9/11 Stair Climb Challenge. It's one thing to do the challenge in regular clothing, but it's another to do it in full firefighting gear for 11 minutes straight. Chris Pavadore has done the challenge for six years, with his best being 92 floors in 11 minutes. Being able to take part means a lot to him. “We get together, we get to banter, have a good time with each other,” said Chris Pavadore with the Anchorage Fire Department. “But at the end of the day, it's to honor those that aren't here with us anymore in the fire service.” We spoke with firefighter Boomer Blossom after he did his challenge.
