SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – A three-day festival celebrating original music and storytelling continues Friday and Saturday in historic downtown Summerville.

Organizers for the Southern Songwriter Festival, now in its third year, say the festival is even bigger with more community partnerships in 2025, adding that there will be 40 songwriters, hundreds of original songs, and plenty of music lovers.

It will feature talented songwriters from across the southeast, spotlighting original songs and the stories behind them.

The festival got underway on Thursday; however, you can still attend on Friday from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., and on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

You can find the event on Songwriter Alley, which is on a small stretch of Central Avenue between W Richardson Avenue
