CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Cincinnati police confirm they are investigating a threat made on social media to “shoot up” the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Over-the-Rhine.
There is no active threat toward students and the school at this time and the school is open with classes in session Friday, according to Lt. Jonathan Cunningham, police spokesman.
No arrests have been made, but police have spoken with a child and the child’s parents, he said.
The school resource officer and school officials are aware, he said.
A school spokesman said he is preparing a statement that will be sent out soon.
The school is located at 108 West Central Parkway.
