PHOENIX - Friday will be a slightly cooler day, with a high of around 100 degrees. We will see sunshine and winds of 15 to 20 mph, slightly lighter than Thursday. The high country will be windy again, with gusts of 20 to 35 mph.

Strong and severe storms will be possible in east-central and northeast AZ. Storms will move northeast, toward New Mexico, potentially bringing 58 mph wind gusts and small hail.

This Weekend:

The humidity will leave our air by Saturday morning, through the weekend, and winds will be lighter. With drier air moving in, shower and storm chances will lower, and only isolated showers will be possible in far eastern AZ on Saturday. Sunday is looking dry for all.
