NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- A vehicle that is suspected to have been involved in a deadly hit-and-run in New Castle, Delaware , has been located, police announced on Friday.

Police said the suspected vehicle was identified as a white Chevrolet Equinox. It was found unoccupied and recovered at a residence. Officials did not release the address where the vehicle was located.

The fatal crash happened on a very narrow shoulder through one stretch of Route 13 in New Castle around 8 p.m. on Monday.

Police say EMTs found the pedestrian dead under the train tracks, right near the intersection of Pulaski and South DuPont Highway.

The victim has been identified 38-year-old Antonio Almanza-Leon, of New Castle, Delaware.
