LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Music festival season is back in Louisville as Bourbon & Beyond kicked off two weeks of live concerts. This year’s festival features a larger footprint and a new location at the Kentucky Exposition Center, giving fans more space than ever before.

While festivalgoers enjoy the music, residents in Prestonia neighborhood are seizing an opportunity that feels similar to Kentucky Derby Week.

A Bigger Festival Footprint

This year, Danny Wimmer Presents, the organizer behind the city’s biggest music events, has expanded the layout of Bourbon & Beyond.

The festival has moved deeper into the parking areas adjacent to the Kentucky Expo Center buildings, offering new attractions like amusement rides from Kentucky Kingdom and freshly laid artificial turf on the concrete.
