MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A school cell phone policy led to an assault allegation against a teacher.
A Memphis mother told FOX3 that the teacher assaulted her daughter at Ridgeway High School because of a cell phone in the classroom. The alleged tussle was caught on camera.
In a video shared only with FOX13, you see a ninth grader and her algebra teacher in a tussle. It's the first school year under Tennessee's new cell phone ban, and while the law is supposed to limit distractions in the classroom, this incident has left one 14-year-old shaken and her mother demanding answers.
