LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Michigan state Sen. Jeremy Moss, D-Southfield, says his home was targeted by a bomb threat Thursday, marking the second such incident involving a high-ranking Democrat in the state this week, according to CBS News Detroit. The threat came the same day Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist reported a "credible bomb threat" at his home.
Moss, who represents Michigan's Seventh State Senate District covering parts of Oakland and Wayne counties, described the threat as part of an "untenable" political environment.
Moss is currently running for Michigan's 11th Congressional seat in the 2026 election cycle, while Gilchrist, a Democrat serving with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, has announced plans to run for governor in 2026.
