A Glasgow carer has been hit with a warning after a “vulnerable” service user was left in a wheelchair overnight wearing wet clothes.
Norma Fraser was hauled before a panel of the Scottish Social Services Council on Thursday (September 11) after the incident in May 2024.
Ms Fraser was a supervisor with Call-In Homecare in Glasgow when she received a call from two colleagues to advise that the service user was not in for their tuck visit at 8pm. The panel found that Ms Fraser told her colleagues to move on to the next visit and failed to ask them to return later.
This resulted in the service user being left in their wheelchair overnight, their incontinence pads not being changed, and their clothes being wet. The panel also found that, when recording the missed visit, Ms Fraser stated
