Aaron Ramsey suffered a nightmare Leicester City debut with the Burnley loanee sent off after just 24 minutes at Oxford United.

Attempting to stop an Oxford counter, Ramsey flew in recklessly on Filip Krastev, his challenge high and late, with referee Ben Toner given little choice but to produce a red card.

Just 10 seconds earlier, Ramsey nearly made it a dream debut, seeing a shot from the corner of the box parried away by Jamie Cumming.

Oxford cleared and threatened to break down the right-hand side, with Ramsey’s dangerous challenge stopping the move but bringing his afternoon to an early end.
