BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Happy Saturday!

We are enjoying plenty of sunshine this morning. Temperatures have rapidly warmed from the 60s to the mid 80s shortly before noon. It is going to be a hot and sunny day.

Winds will remain light from the northeast today at 5 to 10 mph. I highly recommend sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses for all outdoor events today.

Temperatures are forecast to warm into the upper 80s to lower 90s for both the Alabama and Auburn football games. Humidity levels will remain comfortable, but the sunshine inside both stadiums will make it feel several degrees hotter. Most of us will end up in the lower 90s by 2-4 p.m.

UAB kickoff is this evening in Birmingham, and temperatures will likely cool into the 70s with a mostly clear sky.
