Kenneth Tindall was familiar with American country music before he began his latest work for Tulsa Ballet.
“I’ve listened to a fair amount of country music over the years, but usually it was whatever was on the radio at the time — the big hits, the most easily accessible songs,” the British choreographer said. “But I had never really gone into the depths of this music until we began working on this piece, hearing songs and artists I likely would not have encountered on my own.”
