The New England Patriots are sticking with kicker Andy Borregales.

Borregales was anything but the club’s best kicker during training camp, but inexplicably came out on the winning end of his competition with Parker Romo.

Why?

The Patriots didn’t seem keen on cutting their sixth-round pick after his first training camp, and the results have been extremely uneven through two games as the rookie missed two extra-point attempts in a come-from-behind victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

New England still isn’t wavering , though, trotting him out to hit a career-long attempt to strengthen their lead in the fourth quarter:
