When Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders takes the field Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, he’ll be playing in a stadium where his NFL career nearly began under very different circumstances.

Sanders, the Browns’ fifth-round pick (144th overall) who was expected to go as high as the first or second round, will face a Ravens team that reportedly had serious interest in drafting him earlier in the same round.

Appearing on ESPN’s “NFL Countdown” Sunday, Adam Schefter said the Ravens were planning to take Sanders with the 141st overall selection, but Sanders made it clear he preferred not to go to Baltimore.
