LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Louisville Metro Police is investigating weekend violence across Louisville, with several people injured and multiple homicides.

Police are investigating a string of shootings and a deadly stabbing that unfolded across Louisville over the weekend, leaving neighborhoods on edge and residents calling for change.

The violence began early Saturday in Buechel, where police say two men drove themselves to Baptist Health Louisville after being shot near Norfolk Park. Both are expected to survive.

Saturday night in the Algonquin neighborhood, two men and a 67-year-old woman were wounded outside JJ’s Food Mart on Dixie Highway. Police say the shooter drove off in a dark-colored vehicle. All three victims are expected to recover.
