JONESBORO, Arkansas (KCRG) - Iowa State was a heavy favorite Saturday against Arkansas State, but escaped Jonesboro with an eight point win before their bye week.

Iowa State quarterback Rocco Becht says that margin is not good enough, and that bye week comes at a good time.

“This bye week is gonna be huge for us, because we need to win games by more points than that. We can’t put our defense in that position,” Becht said. “Our standards our high, that wasn’t shown out today by us, so we have to be better.”
