CLEAN Program Offers Rapid Analysis to Detect Lead and Other Contaminants

Residents affected by the recent Palisades and Sunset fires in West Los Angeles can access free soil testing through the Contaminant Level Evaluation and Analysis for Neighborhoods (CLEAN) program , which is designed to help identify potential contamination in fire-impacted areas. Operated by the USC Department of Earth Sciences, Keck School of Medicine, and Public Exchange, CLEAN provides rapid analysis to detect harmful substances, beginning with lead and expanding to other contaminants in the coming weeks.
