The Jacksonville Jaguars’ 31-27 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday was marked by a tense sideline moment between quarterback Trevor Lawrence and head coach L iam Coen that has become a focal point of postgame discussion.

In the fourth quarter, up by three points and driving into Bengals territory, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw a ball to wide receiver Dyami Brown that was high and in the vicinity of three Bengals defenders, leading to a third-and-14 situation. Coen was motioning toward his chest, appearing to yell at Lawrence from the sideline to hit his receivers in the chest. Lawrence looked at Coen and waved his hand at him in a motion that appeared as if he was waving his head coach off. After the game, Coen said it was just a one-off incident.
